The Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce is accepting donations to support the Annual Independence Day Celebration, which will be held Wednesday, July 3, along the riverfront in Oak Harbor.
“This is an annual event that provides our residents, tourists, and neighboring communities a spectacular fireworks display in a truly unique setting,” said Sarah Beavers, chamber executive director.

Teens can visit the Walbridge Library this summer for Ohio SNAP-ED programs, which will meet at 3 p.m. on Thursdays, June 26, July 3, July 10, July 17 and July 24.
Ohio SNAP-ED is a free nutrition education program serving low-income adults and youth throughout Ohio. Funded by the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Services, it serves in partnership with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and The Ohio State University Extension.
The goal is to improve the likelihood that people who receive food assistance (SNAP) benefits make healthy food choices within a limited budget and choose active lifestyles. During this series, Laura Digby, of SNAP-ED, will lead teens through the program.

Northwood Neighborhood Block Watch will meet Wednesday, June 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the new Community Center at 3700 Main St.
The guest speaker from American Red Cross will discuss tornado and summer storm safety and education. The meeting is open to the public. Children are welcome.
Attendees will learn what to do if a tornado warning is issued, how to prepare for a tornado, the difference between a tornado watch and warning and other related topics.
The Rich Chiropractic office, located at 23285 State Route 51 W in Genoa, will hold an open house on June 20 from 12-3 p.m. The event will serve as a welcome for Dr. Rachel Best, who is taking over for Dr. Mark Rich. Light refreshments will be served, and coffee will be available for purchase.
