Donations sought for fundraiser
The Humane Society of Ottawa County is seeking donated items for its yard sale, which will be held Friday, July 11, and Saturday, July 12.
Donated items may be brought to the shelter at 2424 E. Sand Rd., Port Clinton, on Sundays and Mondays from 8 a.m.-noon and Tuesday-Saturday 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Those seeking to donate large items and those who will need assistance may call the shelter in advance at 419-734-5191 to schedule a drop-off time.
The shelter cannot accept televisions/monitors, appliances and books. Furniture will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Volunteers are needed to set up and to sort items to be sold. Call the shelter to sign up.
Memorial golf outing
The East Toledo-Oregon Kiwanis Club will present the Thomas Lorenz Memorial Golf Outing Friday, July 25, at Eagles Landing Golf Course in Oregon.
Registration at 11 a.m.; shotgun start at 12 p.m. Registration is $95 per player or $340 per foursome, which includes lunch and contests.
The event will also feature prizes, a basket auction, a 50/50 raffle and more.
Proceeds raised benefit local youth programs, including Northwood High School Key Club, Starr Elementary School K-Kids, Miracle League, Let’s Build Beds, the Eastern YMCA, and others.
