The city of Oregon has issued two construction notices as part of its Roadway Improvement Program.

Genoa Civic Theatre will present comedians Andy Beningo and Des Mulrooney on stage Friday, July 25, and Saturday, July 26 at 7 p.m. The theatre is located at  509 Main St., Second Floor, Genoa. 

The skies over Rossford will come alive once again for the 2025 Rossford Balloon & Fireworks Fest, set for Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19.

West Virginia’s magnificent New River is one of the oldest rivers in the world.

Penta Career Center honored its 60th senior class during ceremonies held May 20-22 on the school campus.

Genoa Area Local Schools Scholarship Foundation recently awarded $77,000 in scholarships to 45 graduating seniors. The amounts ranged from $500 to $4,500.

Bowling Green State University and Terra State Community College  are partnering to ensure a direct pathway for students to seamlessly earn a bachelor’s degree from the BGSU College of Engineering and Innovation.

 Honeybees, which are often misunderstood and wrongly feared, are vital to sustaining agricultural production. The U.S. Department of Agriculture states that about 35 percent of the world’s food crops depend on animal pollinators to produce.

Village officials and town residents, including mayor Ed Kolanko and state representative Elgin Rogers Jr., celebrated the grand opening of a new children’s playground at Walbridge’s Railway Park on June 20 with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

City officials in Oregon celebrated the groundbreaking for the Town Center Apartments on June 24, which is the third phase of the overall town center project that continues to come to fruition.

Jerusalem Township officials voted at the latest trustee meeting on June 24 to reject allowing shipping container usage for longer than 30 days on residential property, although they did agree to allow them for accessory use on commercial land.

Walbridge resident Larry Erard has published a book titled, “Wondering Ways: Stories of Newer, Better, Safer, Healthier, Improved Ways of Living in America.”
