Fall fun goes into full swing at Toledo Zoo’s Harvest Fest

 Harvest Fest 2025 is in full swing at The Toledo Zoo throughout October, offering giant pumpkins, seasonal food, live entertainment, and autumn activities for all ages.

This year’s festival blends longtime favorites with fresh offerings. Guests can stroll past towering pumpkin displays, watch animals explore fall-themed enrichment and enjoy hands-on demonstrations.

Evenings at the Zoo transform into lively gatherings including a craft beer tasting, bourbon pairings and college night festivities.

Dates and hours

Harvest Fest runs daily through Oct. 31. Admission is from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with the Zoo closing at 5 p.m. On Thursdays and Fridays, extended hours are from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., with the Zoo closing at 9 p.m.

Highlights of fall events

  • Oct. 9 – U at the Zoo College Night (current students only, separate fee).
  • Oct. 16-17 – Little Boo presented by Meijer (toddlers and preschoolers, separate fee, reservations required).
  • Oct. 18-19 – Pumpkin Path (all ages, separate fee, reservations required).
  • Oct. 21-23 – “125 Years of Impact Symposium” (free event, reservations required).
  • Oct. 23 – “Impact to Action: A Legacy Gala” (ages 21+, separate fee).
  • Oct. 25 – Pumpkin Stomp & Chomp (included with admission, free for members).
  • Nov. 1 – F & M Bank Roar & Pour (ages 21+, separate fee, reservations required).

Ongoing activities

Every weekend in October will bring something new at the Zoo – pumpkin carving demonstrations, animal enrichment events, live music and character appearances. Select dates feature workshops and horticulture tours that give guests a deeper look at fall’s natural beauty.
