The Arts Garage to showcase vibrant, fresh colors in new exhibit

Posted

The Arts Garage, 317 W. Perry St., Port Clinton, will showcase the artistry of Rebecca Booth, Barbara Radebaugh, and David Wolff from Dec. 4 through Jan. 4.

The public is invited to a reception on Friday, Dec. 5, from 6-8 p.m. at the The Arts Garage (TAG).

‘Vibrant and fresh colors’ describe the painters’ pieces. Pastels, acrylics, oils and alcohol ink set the tone for paintings of nature and nurturing images.

“With so much negativity surrounding us every day, my work explores the joy that can be found in color, in nature and in life,” says Booth, of Genoa. who says she wants her art to lift people rather than pull them down.

Radebaugh, of Port Clinton, works primarily in pastels, but has recently spent time experimenting with abstracts where she learned the term “pareidolia” – which means seeing meaningful images in random patterns.

From Milan, Wolff’s layered color and dramatic lighting effects are featured in his works and have garnered him multiple one-person shows. His artwork was recently featured on the cover of Artline magazine.

Regular hours for TAG are Thursday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is free.
