Serving Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky and Wood Counties
Sixth-grade students from Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School & Academy recently spent an unforgettable week at Camp Michindoh, diving into outdoor adventures and hands-on learning that brought classroom lessons to life.
From canoeing, rock climbing, and archery to tie-dyeing shirts and handling reptiles and amphibians, students embraced every challenge with enthusiasm.
A highlight of the trip included a step back in time as campers explored the life skills of early settlers—baking over an open fire, making candles, building shelters, and starting fires without modern tools. The experience combined fun, teamwork, and resilience, giving students the chance to connect with nature, history, and each other in ways that can’t be taught in a textbook. (Submitted photo)
