28th Grub `n’ Suds Motorcycle Rally set for Sept. 6 in Elmore

The 28th Grub `n’ Suds Motorcycle Rally will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at Elmore’s Depot Park, 353 Ottawa St. Admission is free.

The festival, hosted by Elmore Historical Society, features motorcycles, a poker run, live bands, vendors, bike games and contests with food and beer.

The bike show invites a wide range of cycles including custom, historical, cruisers, sport, trikes and touring. The entry fee is $10 per class. Registration will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and public judging will be conducted from 2-4 p.m. Trophies will be awarded.

Sign-in for the Poker Run will begin at 10 a.m. The first bike will head out at 11 a.m. and the last bike in will be at 2 p.m. The entry fee is $20 per rider and $15 per passenger. Cash prizes will be awarded. The first 50 riders will receive a free event mug.

In addition, Grub `n’ Suds will feature cold beer, vendors, food and live music from Dire Daze and Hole Shot from 2-8 p.m.

Sept. 6: Day of Honor, Toledo Zoo, 2 Hippo Way. The zoo is paying tribute to the men and women who keep us safe all year long by offering free admission for all police, firefighters, EMTs, military personnel and hospital staff, when they show their professional ID or badge.
