The Woodmore boys golf team fired a 345 to finish in second place at the SBC River Division Championship at Eagles Landing Golf Course in Oregon on Sept. 16.
With the performance there, the Wildcats finished fourth in the overall standings on the season, just one point behind New Riegel. Sandusky St. Mary and Tiffin Calvert finished 1-2 in the league standings. Sandusky St. Mary shot a 318 at the championship to take home first there, as well.
Gibsonburg shot a 400 while Northwood checked in 11th with a 466. The Golden Bears finished eighth overall in the league standings, while Northwood was 11th.
In terms of individual awards, Woodmore’s Parker Boss and Mason Busdiecker earned Second Team All-SBC recognition. Gibsonburg’s Nathan Billow landed on the Honorable Mention All-SBC list along with Woodmore’s Brandon Kayser and Kevin Wallace.
Boss finished fourth individually at the SBC Championship with a 78, while Busdiecker fired an 81 for seventh place.
Woodmore’s Abbey Tucker, Jordyn Dunn, and Satori Alter joined Gibsonburg’s Brynn Hoffman as members of this year’s Honorable Mention All-SBC squad following the SBC River Division Championship at Eagles Landing Golf Course in Oregon on Sept. 16.
Hopewell-Loudon won the tournament and the league title overall, while Old Fort was runner-up in both, as well. St. Joseph and Danbury finished third and fourth in the tournament, and they flipped those spots in overall finish. Woodmore was fifth at the SBC Championship and sixth overall. Tiffin Calvert was sixth and fifth, respectively. Gibsonburg was seventh at the tournament and overall.
For Gibsonburg, Hoffman (107), Emmerson Coe (111), Sydney Alldredge (133) and Lilly Zweifel (136) rounded out the scores at the SBC Championship. Tucker led Woodmore with a 102, while checking in behind her were: Lexi Martin (113), Alter (114), Dunn (115), Olivia Sentle (121), and Anastasia Unum (146).
Northwood’s Emily Reichow competed individually and fired a 112.
