OAK HARBOR (15-3, 5-1 NBC) opened its week with a 13-3 league loss to Maumee in six innings, but finished with wins over Edison (7-4), Elmwood (8-4), Brookside (18-1 in five innings), and Notre Dame (11-0 in five innings).
Haylee Robinson (2-for-2, R, RBI, BB) and Kaitlyn Meloche (2-for-3, R) had two hits apiece against Maumee, which included a home run from Robinson. Four others had one hit apiece, including Claire Blausey (1-for-3, R) and Delaney Johnson (1-for-2, RBI).
The Rockets totaled eight hits against Edison, and no one had more than one. Karder Haas scored twice, knocked in one, tripled, and drew a walk. Tatum Baumgartner had two walks and one run. Meloche scored twice and walked once. Morgan Lalonde went the distance for the win in the circle, striking out a pair.
While Baumgartner (3-for-4, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2B, HR) had a big day offensively against Elmwood, so did Johnson, who had a grand slam to put Oak Harbor up 4-0 in the second inning. Payne Lohman added a multi-hit outing with one run. Lalonde went 1-for-2 with one run, one RBI, one walk, and one double, and she also struck out three over seven complete to pick up the win.
Lalonde struck out eight over five complete against Brookside. She also went 2-for-2 with four runs, four stolen bases, two RBIs, two walks, and a triple from the leadoff spot. Haas (2-for-3, 3 R, 2 RBI, BB, 3B), Robinson (2-for-3, 3 RBI, 2 R, 3B), Addison Laubacher (2-for-3, 3 RBI, 2 R, BB, 2 3B), Meloche (3-for-4, 3 RBI, R, 2B), Johnson (1-for-2, R, 2 RBI), and Rosie McHale (1-for-1, 2 RBI, R) also contributed. The Rockets had 10 stolen bases as a team, including one from Delicia Cooner.
Lalonde was magnificent once again in the circle against Notre Dame, striking out 10 over five complete and allowing just four hits, and she needed just 60 pitches to do so. She also went 4-for-4 with three RBIs, three triples, and two runs from the top of the lineup. Baumgartner (3-for-3, 3 R, RBI, 2 3B), Johnson (2-for-3, 2 R, RBI, 3B), Meloche (3-for-3, 2 RBI, R), and Robinson (2-for-3, 2 RBI, R) also had multi-hit attacks.
CLAY (11-3, 6-1 NLL) tallied a pair of wins over three games, with the only loss coming in 2-1 fashion to No. 3 Bryan and its NC State-bound pitcher Thea Staten, who struck out 14 Eagles. Despite that, Clay responded with a hard-fought 7-6 win over Defiance and a 10-7 win over Southview in league play.
On the flip side against Bryan, Emily Cordell also threw a gem for Clay, striking out 10 and allowing just five hits. Maddie Franke walked, stole second, and scored the team’s lone run on an RBI single from Grace Montgomery, who went 2-for-3 overall.
Zoi Zahradnik struck out six to pick up the win in the circle against Soutvhiew. Lily Cordell opened the game with a triple, and the Eagles added four straight singles to take a 3-0 lead. Jenna Swartz had an RBI double in the third inning, and Zahradnik had a two-run home run in the fourth. The offense capped a strong day with back-to-back solo shots from Ellie Haynes and Franke in the sixth.
The home runs continued against Defiance as the Eagles belted four more, led by Franke, who went 3-for-3 with two home runs, a double, and four RBIs. Haynes and Jenna Swartz also hit dingers, while Swartz notched the win in the circle.
GIBSONBURG (9-2, 5-1 SBC) was limited to just two games, but made them count with wins over Tiffin Calvert (6-4) and St. Mary Central Catholic (17-3 in five innings).
The win over Tiffin Calvert was huge as it stopped a 13-game winning streak for the Senecas to open the season. A four-run fifth inning proved critical for the Golden Bears, who had Mia Brink (2-for-3, R, BB) record the team’s lone multi-hit performance. Emma Jividen (R), Mackenzie Muntz (2 RBI, R), Alivia Wauford, Emily Henderson (R, RBI), Leah Hall (2 RBI, R), and Elly Evarts all had one hit apiece. Henderson, Jividen, and Muntz had one double each, while Evarts tripled, and Hall homered. Wauford produced the complete game win, striking out nine over seven complete, allowing one earned run, three hits, and two walks.
The Golden Bears had more fun against SMCC, racking up 16 hits as a team. The sister tandem of Leah Hall and Katie Hall had three hits, three runs, and two RBIs each, while Leah Hall’s three hits came via two doubles and a home run. Jividen went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBIs, and a walk from the leadoff spot. Muntz hit cleanup and finished 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBIs, and a walk. Evarts (1-for-2, 2 R, 2 RBI, BB) and Hannah Crispen (2-for-4, 2 RBI) also helped, as did Brynn Hoffman (1-for-1, 2 RBI, R). Katie Hall registered the win in the circle, striking out three over five complete with zero earned runs.
EASTWOOD (13-4, 4-3 NBC) had a busy week, finishing 4-1 over five games that included wins over Fostoria (24-0 in five innings), Clyde (5-0), Genoa (7-1), and Sandusky Perkins (10-0 in five innings). Their week concluded with a 2-1 loss to Rossford.
The win over Fostoria featured 20 hits, highlighted by a 4-for-4 performance from Maddie Hartman, who had two doubles. Grace Meter added three hits, four runs, three RBIs, one double, and one stolen base. The following group all had two hits each: Stella Chlebowski (3 R, 2 RBI, BB), Jenna Lubash (3 R, 2 RBI), Karly Wasserman (2 RBI, R), and Kenzie Hady (2 RBI). Hady also struck out eight over three perfect innings to earn the win. Addy Loomis struck out five over the final two innings in relief.
Hady turned in another dominant effort against Clyde, striking out 12 while allowing just three hits and one walk over seven frames. Loomis was huge offensively, registering three of the team’s six hits along with two RBIs, one run, and one walk. Wasserman added two hits, one run, one RBI, and one walk. Chlebowski had two of the team’s seven walks.
A big two-way performance from Hady highlighted the win over Genoa. The senior righty struck out 12 and allowed two hits over five frames, and she also went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, three runs, one walk, a double, and two home runs offensively. Maddie Sorg added a 2-for-4 finish with one RBI, while Hartman doubled and had an RBI among three at bats. Loomis struck out four over two innings of relief.
Hady (6 IP, H, 13 K) and Loomis (1 IP, 1 K) combined for a one-hitter against Sandusky Perkins. Wasserman went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBIs, and one walk from the two-hole. Loomis scored three times. Sophia Rankin was 1-for-2 with two RBIs, one run, and one walk. Hartman batted 1-for-2 with two walks and one run, and Lubash was 1-for-1 with a double, a run, and an RBI.
Despite a two-hitter and 13 strikeouts from Hady, Eastwood fell to Rossford as Hartman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run offensively. Five others had one hit apiece, including Chlebowski, who also drew a pair of walks. Eastwood left 15 runners on base, including the bases loaded four times and nine in scoring position.
LAKE (11-2, 3-1 NBC) went 3-0 during the week with wins over Genoa (10-0 in five innings), Maumee (10-6), and Evergreen (18-4 in five innings).
Myah Wypyhoski went 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBIs, a double, a triple, and one walk against Genoa to lead the offense. Parker Dart added three hits with two runs, an RBI, and one walk. Sailor Lindell scored twice, while Sophia Rudey and Caity Extine had one double and two RBIs each. Maddison Ankney went 1-for-2 with a run. Dart struck out seven over five complete while allowing three hits and one walk.
Down 6-5, Lake scored five times over the final two innings to defeat Maumee in a key NBC matchup. Norah Demory doubled while finishing 3-for-4 with three runs, one RBI, and one walk. Extine homered while finishing 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Dart drove in three and scored once. Wypyhoski added two runs and two hits, while Rudey had three RBIs with two hits. Jada Jerew earned three hits and scored three times from the nine-hole. Lindell produced the win in relief, striking out three and allowing just one hit over three scoreless frames.
Demory (2-for-3, 5 RBIs, 3 R) and Dart (3-for-4, 3 RBI, 2 R) each homered against Evergreen, while Ankney went 4-for-4 with two runs. Lindell (2-for-2, 3 R, 2 RBI, BB), Rudey (2-for-3, 2 RBI), Wypyhoski (1-for-3, 2 R, BB), Sophia Gruetter (1-for-2, 2 RBI, R, BB), and Jerew (1-for-3, 3 R) also contributed. Dart and Wypyhoski had one double each. The Flyers also had a few young players contribute off the bench as Leah Vick and Madilyn Sterling each walked and scored once, while Gabby Moreno went 1-for-1. Dart picked up the win, striking out three over the first three frames, while Wypyhoski struck out five over two innings of relief.
GENOA (5-8, 3-5 NBC) defeated Fostoria 19-0 in five innings to conclude its week, but fell 10-0 in five innings to Lake, 7-1 to Eastwood, and 13-5 to Toledo Christian earlier in the week.
Mya Colvin, Kylie Pennington, and Rilee Popovich had Genoa’s three hits against Lake, while Pennington also drew a walk.
Kody Teet (2-for-3, R) led the Comets against Eastwood, while Colvin (1-for-3, BB), Popovich (1-for-3), Makenna Witt (1-for-2, RBI), and Makenna Nehls (1-for-3) also contributed. Nehls and Colvin doubled once each, and Colvin added a steal. Mila McQueary tossed 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.
Izzy West (3-for-4, R, RBI) and Popovich (1-for-3, 2 RBI, R) paced the offense against Toledo Christian, while Colvin also went 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI. McQueary added a pair of runs. West doubled once, and Colvin tripled once.
Teet (4-for-4, 4 R, 3 RBI, 2B, 3B) and Pennington (4-for-4, 2 RBI, R, 2 3B) had four-hit performances against Fostoria, while Izzy Britt went 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBIs) Colvin, West, Popovich, and Rachel Buehler had two hits each. West added three runs, and Popovich had three RBIs. Buehler allowed just one hit while striking out 10 over five innings to pick up the win.
WOODMORE (5-11, 3-3 SBC) split four games over the week, earning wins over Ottawa Hills (19-0 in five innings) and Northwood (11-2) while falling to Old Fort (6-4) and Hopewell-Loudon (6-4).
Payton Whitcum (2-for-3, R, RBI, BB) and Alexys Becerra (2-for-4, 2 RBI, R) combined for four of the team’s seven hits against Old Fort. Elena Reif also added one hit and one RBI, while Aubrey Becerra had one hit, one run, and one walk. Kelsey Kaylor tallied one walk and one run. Liv Scavio struck out nine in a complete game.
The Wildcats had five players combine for five hits against Hopewell-Loudon, led by Scavio (1-for-2, 3B, R, RBI, 2 BB), Alexys Becerra (1-for-4, RBI), and Reif (1-for-2, 2B, RBI, BB). Izzy Helmke also went 1-for-3 with one run and one walk. Camille Strong and Kaylor also had one steal apiece, while Scavio struck out seven over seven frames.

Whitcum doubled once, while Kaylor tripled once. Scavio picked up the complete game win, striking out eight over five.
Kaylor (4-for-4, 3 R, RBI, BB), Whitcum (2-for-4, 3 R, RBI), Scavio (4 BB, R), Aubrey Becerra (2 RBI, R), Strong (R, RBI, 2 BB), Alexys Becerra (2-for-5, 2 RBI), Helmke (3-for-5, R), and Rebekah Wauford (1-for-5, R) all contributed against Northwood. Helmke doubled twice, while Alexys Becerra, Kaylor, and Whitcum had one each. Kaylor also tripled once. Scavio struck out 16 over seven complete.
NORTHWOOD (2-10, 0-6 SBC) dropped a pair of SBC games last week to Hopewell-Loudon (22-0) and Woodmore (11-2).
Although Northwood didn’t get a hit against Hopewell-Loudon, the duo of Madison Huenefeld and Amaya Dixon split the team’s two walks.
Huenefeld added a team-high two hits along with one run and one walk against Woodmore, along with one run and one walk. Camryn Haas, Kadience Karmol, Averey Perlaky, and Kaydence Miller also had one hit each, while Perlaky and Miller had one RBI each. Perlaky and Karmol had one walk each.
WAITE (1-8, 1-3 CITY LEAGUE) dropped its four games last week, 25-22 to Cardinal Stritch, 26-23 to Bowsher, 20-2 to Emmanuel Christian, and 13-0 to Swanton.
In the week’s opener against Stritch, Waite racked up 23 hits as a team. Destiny Garza hit for the cycle, going 4-for-5 with six RBIs, four runs, a double, a triple, a home run, and one walk. Cli Onyango-Doria was 4-for-6 with three runs, one RBI, and a double. Rayne Dehring batted 4-for-5 with two runs, two RBIs, one walk, one stolen base, and two doubles. Christa Hamilton was 3-for-5 with three runs and one double. Jac Martinez was 4-for-5 with four RBIs, three runs, and one triple, and SuRyah Quisno finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs, three runs, one walk, and one stolen base.
The Bowsher game featured four-hit performances from Natasha Torres and Tashiana Moore, along with three-hit games from Garza and Marie Kropaczewski. Sophia Kinsey joined Martinez and Dehring with two-hit outings. The group of Dehring (5), Hamilton (4), Garza (4), Moore (4) and Martinez (3) combined for 20 runs. Kropaczewski (5) and Torres (4) had nine total RBIs. Garza tripled one, while Onyango-Doria, Kropaczewski, and Dehring had one double apiece.
Waite was limited to four hits against Emmanuel Christian, led by two from Garza, who also scored once along with Onyango-Doria, who teamed with Kinsey for the team’s two walks.
Swanton didn’t allow a hit against Waite in the week’s finale, although Martinez, Moore, and Kinsey each had one walk for the Indians.
CARDINAL STRITCH (2-7, 0-4 TAAC) had an absolutely wild week, defeating Waite 25-22 and Woodward 32-16, while falling twice to Ottawa Hills, 19-9 and 21-3.
Aryana Alonzo (3-for-5, 4 R, RBI, BB) and Abby Shull (3-for-6, 3 RBI, R) led the way in hits against Waite. Sophia Hamrick (2-for-2, 2 R, 2 RBI, 3 BB), Brooklynn Gilford (4 R, 5 BB), Samantha Wurst (3 R, 4 BB), Jasmine Peak (3 R, 2 RBI, BB), Kennedy Burzynski (2 R, 2 BB), and Addison Gawle (1-for-2, 3 R, RBI, BB) also contributed.
While complete stats weren’t available for the Woodward game, the first matchup against Ottawa Hills featured 16 walks from Stritch batters, including four from Burzynski, three from Gilford, and two apiece from Hamrick, Wurst, Sophia Schwirzinski, and Gawle. Gawle, Burzynski, and Schwirzinski had two runs each, and Schwirzinski and Wurst split the team’s two hits.
The Cardinals added four more hits in the finale against Ottawa Hills, led by two from Gawle, who also scored a run. Alonzo (1-for-3, 2 RBI, BB, 2B) also contributed, while Hamrick had two walks. Schwirzinski had one RBI and one walk, and Burzynski scored once.
