Gibsonburg produced its first win of the season in easy fashion, dispatching Danbury 69-30 at home. The Golden Bears jumped out to a 16-7 lead after one and produced a 25-6 third quarter advantage. Elly Evarts had another near triple-double with a game-high 20 points, nine assists, eight rebounds, and three steals over 23 minutes. Leah Hall added a near double-double with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Emma Jividen and Ava Dawson had 10 apiece. Brooklyn Smith and Emily Henderson tallied five points each, and Henderson also pulled down eight boards. Dawson added six steals and three assists.
Woodmore opened the season with three road tilts - a loss at Genoa (66-31), a heartbreaking loss at Ottawa Hills (57-55), and a win over Northwood (64-18).
In the opener, Woodmore led 21-13 after one quarter, but Ottawa Hills responded to lead 33-31 at the half, and they held off the Wildcats in the end. Camille Strong had 12 points, while Ariana Florio and Izzy Helmke both had nine points.
Woodmore fell victim to a hot-shooting Genoa team that finished with 24 points from long distance in its second game of the week. The Wildcats, conversely, made just one 3-pointer. Strong led the Wildcats with 12 points, while the Comets held a 12-0 advantage in points from the foul line.
The Wildcats responded to those two losses by scoring the first 27 points of the game against Northwood en route to a big win. Kelsey Kaylor led the way with 15 points, while Keira Travis, Florio, and Heins had 12 points each. Strong added 11 more, as well.
Lake continued a busy start to the season with a 2-1 week that included victories over Otsego (31-29) and Northwood (52-20), as well as a 62-33 loss at Eastwood. They have played six games so far.

Genoa produced victories in two of three matchups on the week, defeating Maumee 78-59 and Woodmore 66-31, while falling to Delta 73-60.
The Comets opened the week with a loss to Delta in which Makenna Moritz had a team-best 20 points. Addi Moritz added 15, while Kylie Pennington (11) and Lucy Schlageter (9) combined for 20. Stella Rethman (3) and Keira Combs (2) rounded out the scoring.

Eastwood continued its strong start to the season with two more wins, 53-42 over Elmwood and 62-33 over Lake. It pushed their winning streak to three.
In the win over Elmwood, Karly Wasserman had a team-best 10 points, while Karissa Nelson and Ava Kachmarik had nine apiece. Kenna Nelson (7), Mack Miller (6), Gracyn Reiter (4), and Lauren Schuerman (2) also reached the scoring column. Kenna Nelson added seven rebounds, while Miller and Kachmarik had five boards apiece. Kachmarik totaled four assists.
The win over Lake featured 19 points from Karissa Nelson and 11 from Kachmarik. Wasserman and Kenna Nelson each had eight points, while Reiter (7) and Miller (6) combined for 13. Both Nelson sisters had eight rebounds and four assists, as well. Miller (7) and Reiter (5) combined for 12 rebounds.
Oak Harbor went 2-1 on the week with wins over Otsego (66-33) and Port Clinton (52-21), along with a loss to Bellevue (71-47).
The Rockets opened the week by giving the defending Division IV state champs a game in the first half. Down 17-12 through one, Oak Harbor outscored Bellevue 20-11 in the second quarter to take a 32-28 lead at the half. However, the visitors exploded for a 22-6 performance in the third quarter to take control. Reghan Markley had a game-high 19 points, and Karder Haas added 14. Brooke Tabbert dished out five assists, and Kendall Gaines distributed four.
In the win over Otsego, Oak Harbor was led by Laney Schmidt’s 17 points. Tabbert (13) and Haas (10) added 23 combined, while the Rockets held a 23-14 advantage in rebounding. Gaines and Markley added nine points apiece, while Kaitlyn Meloche had five.
The Rockets concluded the week with a combined 24-point performance from Tabbert (13) and Haas (11) in the win over Port Clinton, which avenged a loss to them last season. Markley added seven rebounds and five steals. Haylee Robinson had five rebounds.
Cardinal Stritch rebounded from a three-game losing streak to open the season with a 40-23 win over Maumee Valley. The Cardinals also fell 58-37 to North Baltimore to open the week.
Morgan Kennedy (16) and Amaya Hill (13) combined for 29 points against North Baltimore, while Hill finished off another double-double with 16 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks. Erin Carbe had eight rebounds, while Alivia Castro added five boards and two steals.
The trio of Hill (15), Kennedy (13), and Mackenzie Miltz (12) scored all 40 of Stritch’s points in the win over Maumee Valley. Hill added 12 rebounds, four steals, and four blocks. Castro had eight rebounds and four assists, while Carbe (7) and Alahah Black (6) totaled 13 rebounds. Miltz had a team-best six steals and four rebounds, while Kennedy added three steals.
Waite fell to 0-3 on the young season with losses at Lima Senior (60-9) and Scott (52-17). Stats weren’t reported.
