Below is a listing of results and stats from the third week of the boys soccer season. This is for matches played through Aug. 31. Information is gathered via MaxPreps, coach email submissions and team social media accounts. A lack of individual stats listed means none of those sources provided that information.

The Eastwood boys soccer team (3-1-1, 2-0 NBC) continued a strong start to the season with a 1-0-1 week that included a 4-3 win over Oak Harbor and a 1-1 tie against Clay. In the win over the host Rockets, Eastwood got goals from Austin Miller, Cody Lutz and Cody Hefflinger in the first half before Brady Mohr’s late second half goal helped put the game away. Jonas Bushman had two assists, and Miller tallied one helper. Mohr then added another goal in the team’s tie against Clay, where goalkeeper Caden Oberhouse stopped 10 of his 15 shots on the week. The Eagles will be back in action against Lake on Wednesday.

The Genoa boys soccer team dropped a pair of matches last week, 5-2 to Lake and 2-1 to Van Buren. Against Lake, Max Huss and Jayden Kutchenriter produced the two unassisted goals, while Joey Caughorn made 17 saves in goal. Gavin Goodman’s first half goal helped Genoa to a 1-1 tie at the half against Van Buren, but the visitors tallied the second half’s lone goal to pick up the win. The Comets (1-4, 0-2 NBC) will face Maumee on Wednesday.

The Oak Harbor boys soccer team had a furious second half rally fall just short in a 4-3 defeat to Eastwood in their lone match of the week. Aidan Boss had two of those goals, while Zavier Hess had the others. They trailed 3-0 at the half before trimming the deficit to one twice in the final 40 minutes. The Rockets (2-3, 1-1 NBC) face Rossford on Wednesday.

The Woodmore boys soccer team fell 8-0 to Van Buren on their lone match of the week. Jack Avers made 13 saves in goals for the Wildcats (1-2), who face Otsego on Wednesday.

The Northwood boys soccer team (1-4, 1-3) fell 2-1 to Vermillion in their lone match of the week. Caiden Genson scored the lone tally for the Rangers, who will continue action on Wednesday against Willard.
