The Pemberville Public Library fascinated residents with a hot air balloon demonstration at William Henry Harrison Park on July 10.
Hot air balloon pilot Andy Gross hosted a demonstration of the six-story-high balloon’s inflation, talked about the history of ballooning, answered questions, and allowed the crowd of over 100 people to get up close with the basket and balloon once it was safe.
Residents even helped pack up the hot air balloon once the demonstration was over.
The Wood County Park District approved a special use permit to make the event possible.
