Oregon officials announce temporary closure of Pickle Road railroad crossing

Oregon city officials said that Pickle Road between Woodville Road and Wheeling Street will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. on Monday, July 28 through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 6.

Vehicular traffic access is expected to resume at 5 p.m. on Aug. 6.

The road closure is necessary to permit CSX to perform railroad crossing repair work. The actual work zone at the railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic.

The entrance drives to properties within the closure area will remain open throughout the closure period.

The signed detour route for the railroad crossing will be Woodville Road to Wheeling Street.

This special traffic regulation is approved as an emergency and temporary measure by authority of the Oregon Municipal Code. Anyone with questions or comments regarding the closure can contact the director of public service office at 419-698-7047.
