Oregon Community Theatre kicks off season
Oregon Community Theatre will open its 2025–26 season with “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”
Oct. 17-18 and Oct. 24-25 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 26 at 3 p.m. at: Fassett Auditorium, 3025 Starr Ave, Oregon.
Tickets are $24 for regular admission and $18 for students (under 18) and seniors (60+). For Gold Section seating, tickets are an additional $3. Season memberships are also available, offering savings and priority access to all three productions.

Walbridge Library events
Learn more about basic 3D printing at the Walbridge Library, 108 N. Main St., on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m.
Printing enthusiasts and beginners will be led through the process of creating their own 3D printed objects at WCDPL. Basic computer experience is recommended. Registration is required. Register online at wcdpl.org/events.
Make a Monster
Children of all ages can visit the library on Friday, Oct. 10, at 3:30 p.m. to make a monster. Youngsters can name their monster, put it on display at the library or take it home. No registration is required.

‘A Salute to America’s Finest’
The Oak Harbor Band Department will present their annual performance of “A Salute to America’s Finest” – a patriotic halftime tribute honoring the members of the armed forces, police officers, firefighters and all other emergency personnel – on Friday, Oct. 10, at the Oak Harbor vs. Lake varsity football game.
The Oak Harbor seventh and eighth grade bands will join the high school marching band on the field for the performance. Song selections will include a variety of patriotic favorites, including the service song of each military branch.
History Roundtable
Learn about a fascinating musical composer and the spooky lore of vampires, werewolves and other creepy legends at the last two History Roundtable sessions this season at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums in Fremont.
Local historian Mike Gilbert will lead the series at sessions on Oct. 11 and 18. from 10-11:30 a.m. in the museum auditorium.

Pre-recorded virtual sessions are also offered for those who cannot attend in person. Admission – whether in person or virtually through the recordings – is $5 per session. Pre-registration and pre-payment for both in-person and virtual sessions are required.

Trunk Show set
Country Garden Club’s annual Trunk Show will be held Oct. 7 and 8 at the Carranor Hunt & Polo Club, 502 East Second St., Perrysburg.
The show will feature boutique shopping, lunch, music and more. More than 20 vendors—both new and returning favorites—will offer a vast array of shopping experiences.
Doors open both days at 9:30 a.m. with a buffet lunch available for purchase from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Admission to the Trunk Show is $10 per person. The Trunk Show will conclude at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 8.
For the third year, the Trunk Show will have a Girls Night Out from 5:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Girls Night admission is $7 per person or two for $10.

‘Life on Lake Erie’
The National Museum of the Great Lakes (NMGL), 1701 Front St., Toledo, is showcasing a new temporary micro exhibit, the Life on Lake Erie Traveling Photo Exhibit, on display through the end of 2025.
Now in its 33rd year, the Life on Lake Erie Photo Contest—organized by the Ohio Lake Erie Commission—invites photographers to capture the lake’s natural beauty, wildlife, communities and everyday life. The 2025 winning images are currently traveling throughout Ohio, with NMGL serving as the first organization to display them.

‘Ohio: Wild at Heart’
Audiences can explore the wild beauty of the Buckeye State in “Ohio: Wild at Heart,” an uplifting journey through Ohio’s parks and waterways, narrated by Ohio legend Archie Griffin. The film opens on Oct. 9 at Imagination Station KeyBank Discovery Theater as its newest giant screen experience.
