Posted

The village of Millbury hired a new street commissioner, Mike Sanders, at its latest council meeting on Feb. 9.

Departing streets commissioner, Keith Nusbaum, was honored following the meeting after dedicating over 40 years to the village in various capacities before recently retiring.

An ordinance was also passed to increase the pay to $20 per hour for all of the village’s part-time employees.

Council president Kevin Sanders said that the village’s electrical aggregate through Dynergy is 0.934 from April to December, and opt-out letters were sent out to residents. He also said that the village is potentially looking to move forward with another aggregate next year.

The village’s next meeting is March 9 at the village off near the railroad tracks on Main Street.
