7 Brew Coffee has come to Oregon to spread joy — one smile and cup of coffee at a time. The drive-thru coffee company officially opened its new Navarre Avenue location on Monday, Sept. 8, serving up 50,000 drinks to the community.
“Our mission is to cultivate kindness,” Veronica Schumann, 7 Brew Coffee regional manager, said. “I like to say that we do it with every cup, we do it with every drink — even the ‘pup cups’ that we serve those dogs really love — our kindness that we deliver to the community.
“I’m excited to grow with the community and get to know our regulars, get to know them by name."
The Oregon 7 Brew team is made up of locals, and they love being greeted with their neighbors’ pets at the drive-thru window while they work; dogs, cats — even the occasional pet raccoon — accompany their humans for a sweet treat.
In preparation for their opening, the staff at Oregon’s 7 Brew Coffee practiced whipping up drinks during their Caffeine for a Cause weekend. During Aug. 29-31, customers were able to enjoy free drinks and given the option to pay whatever amount they wished.
The money 7 Brew Coffee generated during Caffeine for a Cause was raised for Toledo’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital, immediately giving back to their new community.
A check for $8,000 was presented to Nationwide Children’s Hospital ̶ Toledo on Sept. 9 at the ribbon cutting ceremony put on by the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce.
Among attendees was the City of Oregon’s mayor, Mike Seferian. The mayor was hopeful in his welcome to the new business.
“This location used to be a staple in our community: the Freeway Plaza,” Seferian said. "When it shut down, it became an eyesore — a vacant building. The folks at 7 Brew came and made it a beautiful place. It is really becoming a threshold to rehab our town center in Oregon.”
7 Brew Coffee is located at 2665 Navarre Ave., Oregon. Their drink menu and additional information can be found on their website, 7brew.com.
