The weekly East Side Sun newspaper was started in 1920 by James and Isabelle Toppin, and it continued to publish news about East Toledo, later under the ownership of Paul and Doris Toppin, until 1984.
An early delivery truck is pictured here, in about 1921, probably in front of 230 Main St., before the paper had its own building on Fourth Street.
Archives of the Sun owned by the historical society make interesting reading today.
