The Clay volleyball team (13-6, 10-2 NLL) produced a pair of straight-set wins over St. Ursula and Springfield.
Eme Goetz (14) and Maddie Franke (9) combined for 23 terminations against St. Ursula, while Goetz also had an impressive nine aces. Leah Hazuda led the Eagles with eight digs, while Jadyn Kennedy, Hayden Rodriguez, and Franke had five apiece. Rodriguez also dished out 22 assists.
Goetz (11) and Franke (10) had double-digit kills against Springfield, and Halle Brenot added five. Addie Hugueley nearly matched Goetz’s ace total from the St. Ursula match, but settled for eight, while Brenot had three. Rodriguez led the team with five blocks and 27 assists, while Kennedy had 13 digs. Franke (9) and Hugueley (7) combined for 16 digs.
The Eagles are slated to conclude the regular season against Fremont Ross, Bowling Green, and Findlay.
The Lake volleyball team (15-5, 11-1 NBC) picked up wins over Maumee and Otsego.
Mylah Vorst had 14 kills and three blocks for the Flyers, while Harlow Haberland (10) and Kennedy Falkenberg (8) combined for 18 terminations in the win over Maumee. Caity Extine also had three blocks, while Falkenberg and Haberland had two apiece. Calli Conley led the way in digs with 16. Lucy Boos (11) and Savanna Saunders (9) totaled 20, as well. Boos (19) and Saunders (17) produced 36 total assists.
Boos had a double-double (17 assists, 11 digs, 5 kills) against Otsego. Falkenberg had a team-best 11 kills, and the duo of Vorst (8) and Haberland (7) added 15 more. Saunders and Boos had four aces each, and Extine added three more blocks. Laynie Meadows had 10 digs, while the combo of Boos (17) and Saunders (14) had 31 assists.
The Flyers will conclude the regular season against Oak Harbor and Rossford.
The Oak Harbor volleyball team (17-3, 10-2 NBC) pushed its winning streak to seven straight with three-set victories over Fostoria and Genoa.
Alayna Hall had a team-best 14 kills along with eight digs against Fostoria. Tatum Baumgartner added seven kills and three aces. Laney Schmidt led the Rockets with 30 assists, and Ava Lynch had 14 digs. Ashlyn Hall had eight digs.
Stats weren’t reported for the Genoa match, and the Rockets will conclude the regular season against Lake and Maumee.
The Eastwood volleyball team (13-6, 9-3 NBC) won two of their three matches, sweeping Defiance and Rossford before falling to Maumee.
In the win over Defiance, Mack Miller had 15 kills, 14 digs, two aces, and two blocks. Ivy Schrader added seven kills, two aces, and 11 digs. Addyson Leppelmeier led the team with three aces. Olivia Riter had 24 assists and three digs. Lyla Meter (9), Stella Chlebowski (5), and Whitley Lubash (3) combined for 17 digs.
Miller added 25 more terminations against Rossford along with nine digs and three aces. Schrader had nine kills along with team-highs in digs (11) and aces (4).Vanessa Evans added three aces, while Riter had 32 assists and three digs. Stella Chlebowski had five digs.
Miller (19) and Schrader (10) combined for 29 kills against Maumee, and Evans finished third with five. Chlebowski had a team-best three aces. Braily Moenter had two blocks. Olivia Riter had a team-best 30 assists, while five players recorded double-digit digs, including: Chlebowski (17), Riter (15), Schrader (11), Miller (11), and Lubash (10).
The Eagles are slated to close out their regular season against Fostoria, Otsego, and Fairview.
The Genoa volleyball team (6-13, 2-10 NBC) dropped matches to Fremont St. Joe, Otsego, and Oak Harbor.
Makenna Moritz had a triple-double against SJCC with 15 kills, 13 digs, and 13 assists. Lucy Schlageter nearly added one of her own before finishing with eight kills, 14 digs, and 13 assists. Riley Sinift contributed seven kills and three blocks. Mya Colvin and Charli Magnone each had two aces, while Magnone (24) led the team in digs. Mya Rethman added eight digs.
Moritz snagged another triple-double against Otsego with 15 kills, 15 digs, and 17 assists. Sinift led the Comets with 16 kills. Schlageter added nine kills, 14 digs, and a team-best 18 assists. Magnone led the team with 31 digs, and Rethman produced 12.
Magnone led the Comets defensively against Oak Harbor with 10 digs, and Moritz added eight assists. Kylie Pennington tied Moritz for the team-high in blocks with one, while Schlageter had two aces.
The Comets will conclude their regular season against Toledo Christian, Rossford, and Fostoria.
The Gibsonburg volleyball team (13-6, 9-4 SBC) defeated Woodmore in four sets in their lone match of the week. Stats weren’t reported, and the Golden Bears are slated to conclude the regular season against Lakota, New Riegel, and SJCC.
The Woodmore volleyball team (5-15, 4-10 SBC) defeated Toledo Christian before falling to New Riegel, and Gibsonburg last week.
Ariana Florio had a team-best 18 kills, 12 digs, and six blocks in the four-set victory over Toledo Christian. Lacey Lipstraw added 12 kills and two aces. Emily Lang chipped in seven kills, a team-best five aces, and two blocks. Payton Whitcum had four aces and a team-best 12 digs. Samantha Bush led the team with 17 assists, and Vida Guillen added 15 helpers.
Florio (7) and Lipstraw (5) combined for 12 kills against New Riegel. Lipstraw added three blocks, while Guillen (11) was tops in assists. Guillen led the Wildcats in digs with 18, while Florio added 11 and Whitcum had eight.
No stats were reported for the Gibsonburg match. The Wildcats are slated to conclude the regular season against Hopewell-Loudon and St. Mary Central Catholic.
The Cardinal Stritch volleyball team (12-6, 4-2 TAAC) defeated Toledo Christian in four sets to produce a victory in their lone match of the week. No stats were reported, and the Cardinals are slated to conclude their regular season against Evergreen, Patrick Henry, and North Central.
The Northwood volleyball team (4-15, 1-12 SBC) fell to Tiffin Calvert, St. Mary Central Catholic, and Swanton last week. Stats weren’t reported. The Rangers will wrap up their regular season against Old Fort and Danbury.
The Waite volleyball team (2-14, 0-5 CL) fell to Fostoria and Findlay. No stats were reported, and the Indians will now enter tournament play.
