The Eastwood boys soccer team (8-5-1, 4-2 NBC) defeated Woodmore and Otsego last week.
In the 8-0 win over Woodmore, Cody Lutz had four goals to lead the Eagles. Austin Miller, Hunter Wilson, Brady Mohr, and Jonas Bushman added one goal apiece, while Mohr and Raif Johnson had two assists each. Lutz, Miller, Joey Schumski, and Nathan Frobose had one helper. Caden Oberhouse (5) and Tristan Wolfenbarger (2) combined for seven saves in goal.
In a 6-1 win over Otsego, Miller produced a hat trick along with one assist, while Lutz chipped in a pair of goals. Mohr had one goal, and Bushman had three assists. Johnson and Schumski had one assist each. Oberhouse had eight saves.
The Eagles will close the regular season against Emmanuel Christian, Whitmer, and Kenton.
The Lake boys soccer team (9-5-1, 5-1 NBC) defeated Rossford 12-1 to open last week before falling 8-0 to Liberty-Benton. Preston Snyder broke the program’s single-season goals record in the victory over the Bulldogs. No stats were reported for either match. The Flyers will conclude the regular season against Northwood.
The Oak Harbor boys soccer team (7-8-1, 3-3 NBC) lost to Toledo Christian, Maumee, and Norwalk last week. In the narrow 4-3 defeat to Toledo Christian, Zavier Hess had a pair of goals, and Aidan Boss added the other. The Rockets conclude the regular season against Huron.
The Genoa boys soccer team (6-9, 1-5 NBC) fell 7-1 to Archbold to open the week, but finished with a hard-fought 4-3 win over Swanton. Gavin Goodman had the team’s lone goal against Archbold on an assist from Jayden Kutchenriter, while Joey Caughorn had 11 saves. Kutchenriter added a hat trick along with one assist against Swanton, while Max Huss had one goal and one assist. Goodman added the other helper, and Caughorn had four saves. The Comets conclude the regular season against Port Clinton.
The Northwood boys soccer team (6-8-1, 5-4-1 SBC) fell to Norwalk, 4-0, and tied Old Fort 2-2. Caiden Genson had both goals against Old Fort. The Rangers will conclude the regular season against Lake.
The Woodmore boys soccer team (1-7) fell 5-3 to Cory-Rawson and 8-0 to Eastwood. In the initial matchup, Blake Avers, Ryne Donley, and Landyn Sipe each scored once, while Donley and Andrew Drill had one assist each. Jack Avers made 10 saves before adding 25 more stops against Eastwood. The Wildcats conclude the regular season against Clyde and Riverdale.
The Clay boys soccer team (5-7-3, 3-4-2 NLL) lost 6-0 to Springfield, but responded with a 4-2 win over Fremont Ross. No stats were reported, and the Eagles will conclude the regular season against Bowling Green and Central Catholic.
