The Great Eastern Toastmasters Club announced that Elmore’s Matt Wegert placed second in the District 28 International Speech Contest on April 26 at the annual conference in Dearborn, Mich.
The only contestant representing Ohio, Wegert is the vice president of membership for the club, which also announced that Oregon’s Fred Lewis was elected to serve as the Division O director. He was sworn in at the same conference.
If you’re looking to gain more self-confidence and grow in communication skills while learning in a relaxed, supportive environment, Great Eastern Toastmasters welcomes guests to join.
They meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in ProMedica Bay Park Hospital’s Lake Erie Room in Oregon, which is located in the lower level behind the cafeteria.
