Gibsonburg hosts 3rd annual Hispanic Heritage Festival

The 3rd annual Hispanic Heritage Festival was held at Williams Park in Gibsonburg on Sept. 27. The festival, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and presented by La Familia Mancha Entertainment, LLC, and the Village of Gibsonburg, drew an estimated 3,000 people.

The headliner of the festival was Latin Grammy Award-winning artist AJ Castillo from Austin, Texas. Other entertainment included Toledo's Grupo Dezeo, Adriana & The Boyz from Chicago, Ill., LaNueva Onda from Adrian, Mich., Danza Guadalupana from Norwalk, Ohio, and Mariachi Jalisco de Detroit, from Detroit, Mich.

The MC was Bumper Gomez from Bumper's Wacky Wednesday in San Antonio, Texas, and DJ AB Ramos entertained throughout the festival that ran from 1 pm. to 11:30 p.m.

Good Times Ohio presented a Lowrider & Car Show, while there were several food trucks and vendors on the grounds. Gibsonburg students were admitted free with a student ID.
