GenoaBank, a locally owned and independent community bank, recognized late last month members of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Clay Township, and the village of Genoa — all which play an essential role in safeguarding the rights and freedoms of the citizens of Ottawa County and surrounding townships.
“Police officers are essential members of our communities — maintaining our way of life depends on their dedicated efforts to keep us safe,” Martin P. Sutter, the chairman, president, and CEO of GenoaBank, said. “These officers hold significant civic and law enforcement responsibilities and put their lives at risk to protect us each day, at times facing some of the most adverse circumstances imaginable.”
As a thank you for all they do, a small reception was held on April 23 inside the Millbury branch at the corner of Woodville and Fostoria Roads. Each department received a copy of the proclamation signed by the GenoaBank board in recognition and profound appreciation of distinguished service.
The following officers were recognized at that event: Sheriff Steve Levorchick, Captain Aaron Leist, Detective Jonah Boyer, and Deputy Spencer O’Connell of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office; Chief Jesse Martin, Officer Don Kreager, and Sergeant Jacob Roesler of Clay Township; and Sergeant Todd Mocniak of the village of Genoa.
GenoaBank’s board of directors, officers, and employees honor and appreciate the service and compassion to the communities in which all serve.
“These officers are fair, dedicated, and honest public servants who strive daily to cultivate and sustain positive relationships with the communities they serve and protect.” Sutter said. “We truly thank them for all they do.”
