GenoaBank announces demolition and rebuild of Sandusky branch

Posted

GenoaBank, a locally owned, independent community bank, announced on Dec. 16 the demolition and upcoming complete reconstruction of its Sandusky Branch, located at 3911 Milan Road.

This project marks a significant milestone as GenoaBank expands its footprint with its eleventh full-service branch in Northwest Ohio.

The new facility will feature three drive-up lanes, a drive-up ATM, and a modern, full-service banking environment designed to meet the needs of both personal and business customers.

Generous office space will allow for private consultations on commercial lending, investment services, and mortgage financing.

"Our goal is to create a space that is not only functional but also welcoming and innovative," Martin P. Sutter, President and CEO of GenoaBank, said. "This investment demonstrates our dedication to the community and our confidence in its future."

Demolition began on Nov. 17, 2025, and construction is underway. The new Sandusky Branch is scheduled to open in late fall 2026, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned to celebrate the occasion.

This project reflects GenoaBank’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences and modern facilities that meet the evolving needs of the communities it serves.
