Genoa village council held its latest meeting on Feb. 18, which featured the passing of three ordinances in emergency fashion.
The first one approved the execution of a schedule with American Municipal Power, Inc. for participation in the Community Energy Savings Smart thermostat program.
Next was an ordinance to make permanent appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the village during the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2025.
The third awarded a bid to Michael Thomas and Kevin Katafias for the lease of 601 Washington St. for the operation of the Genoa Big Dipper.
