The Ohio State Highway Patrol Bowling Green Post is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on I-475 in Perrysburg Township.
The crash happened near milepost 01 eastbbound at approximately 1:12 a.m. on Aug. 6.
The preliminary investigation found that a 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Dustin Moore, 28, of Martin, was traveling eastbound on I-475 when he went off the roadway and struck the guardrail. Moore, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Wood County Coroner’s Office, Perrysburg City Police Department, Perrysburg Fire Department, Perrysburg Fire EMS and Bubba’s Towing Services.
The Patrol reminds motorcyclists to obey traffic laws and to wear a helmet at all times.
