This year’s Rocket Classic at Detroit Golf Club’s North Course wrapped up at the end of June, and work has already begun in a course restoration project in preparation for next season.
The project, slated to cost $16.1 million, is slated to be ready for the July 27-Aug. 2, 2026 event. That is a later date than normal for the tournament, which will allow the course to mature.
The Rocket Classic is a professional golf tournament in Michigan on the PGA Tour. It debuted in 2019, replacing the Quicken Loans National event on the tour’s schedule. It is the first tour event to be held completely within the Detroit city limits.
