Clay High School student Cooper Kesling earned the highest score on Clay’s America 250 test. The exam covered the founding era of the United States as part of this year's nationwide 250th birthday commemorations. A special emphasis was on the Declaration of Independence and Constitution. For his achievement, Kesling was awarded a scholarship in the amount of $1,776, thanks to the incredible generosity of local donors Christ Dunberger American Legion Post 537, Don and Patricia Price, the Oregon Conservative Club, the Oregon Democratic Club, the Oregonian Club, and the Toledo Tea Party. Kesling is a junior at Clay and plans to attend The Ohio State University to study music education and join the marching band.
