‘Shucked’ – a comedy that’s turning musical theater on its ear

Posted

The American Theatre Guild will present  “Shucked,” the Tony Award-winning musical comedy The Wall Street Journal calls “flat out hilarious,” for eight performances Jan. 20-25 at the Stranahan Theater, 4645 Heatherdowns Boulevard, Toledo.

This production is part of the 25–26 Broadway in Toledo Series.

What do you get when you pair a semi-neurotic, New York comedy writer with two music superstars from Nashville? A hilarious and audacious farm-to-fable musical about the one thing Americans everywhere can’t get enough of: corn.

The new musical comedy proves sometimes tearing down a few walls, rather than growing them, is the only way to preserve our way of life and offers a kernel of hope for our divided nation.

Tickets are available at BroadwayInToledo.com and StranahanTheater.com. Group ticket savings for 10+ are available by contacting Groups@ATGuild.org.
