The Bowling Green State University Department of Theatre and Film will present “The SpongeBob Musical” April 10-13 in the Thomas B. and Kathleen M. Donnell Theatre at the Wolfe Center for the Arts.

Based on the series by Stephen Hillenburg and book by Kyle Jarrow, “The SpongeBob Musical” is set in the fictional underwater city of Bikini Bottom at the beginning of what seems to be a normal day. When SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy and their friends learn their city is facing an imminent eruption of Mt. Humongous, the community must band together to save their underwater world.

Though chaos ensues as residents deliberate the best way to address the impending disaster, an unsuspecting hero emerges, highlighting the power of optimism, friendship and unity in the face of catastrophe.

Curtain time is 8 p.m. on April 10-12 and 2 p.m. on April 12-13. Tickets are $5 for students, $10 for seniors and $15 for adults and can be purchased in advance at BGSU.edu/the-arts/tickets. All ticket sales are cashless.
