Baumann Ford Oregon, part of the Baumann Auto Group and located across the street from the new Oregon Town Center on Navarre Avenue, officially began its showroom addition and renovation project on Oct. 7 with a groundbreaking ceremony.
The project, which will result in it being one of the first in the area to display the automaker’s new dealership design, will see the current showroom demolished in the next month and construction of the new one taking place over the next year. The service, body shop, and sales sections will be located in the back of the property during that time.
Ford Motor Company representatives, Oregon mayor Michael Seferian, city council members, first responders, and several others were in attendance at Baumann Ford, one of eight local dealerships owned by Buck Baumann.
“We’re excited to sport this new look for our customers and know it will enhance their car-buying experience,” Baumann said. “From a new showroom to renovated service, parts, and staff areas, the customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do.”
Rudolph Libbe Inc. is the general contractor for the project. The current showroom will be demolished and replaced with a 9,565-square-foot vehicle display area that will adhere to Ford’s new guidelines for its showrooms. The renovated service, parts, and office areas cover 3,790 square feet.
