The Northwood boys soccer team went undefeated last week, picking up wins over Columbian and Rossford.
In a 2-1 victory over Columbian, the Rangers scored twice in the second half with goals from CJ Carrizales and Caiden Genson, while Genson assisted on the goal from Carrizales. Brayden LaGrange made seven saves in goal. In a 5-1 win over Rossford, Danny Genzman exploded with four goals, while Genson assisted on four. Alex Hagemann had the other goal, while LaGrange made 10 saves.
The Rangers (4-7, 3-3 SBC) are slated to face Huron and Clyde this week.
The Eastwood boys soccer team dropped a pair of matches to Maumee and Liberty Center last week.
Cody Lutz scored the team’s lone goal in a 5-1 loss at the Panthers, while Caden Oberhouse made 10 saves in goal. Tristan Wolfenbarger also saw time in net, producing one save. No stats were available for the team’s 3-0 loss to Liberty Center.
The Eagles (5-4-1, 3-2 NBC) are back in action against Toledo Christian and Port Clinton this week.
The Clay boys soccer team lost a pair of matches to Southview and Northview last week. No stats were reported. The Eagles (2-6-3, 1-3-2 NLL) are slated to face Napoleon and Whitmer this week.
The Woodmore boys soccer team fell to Liberty Center and Genoa last week.
In the loss to Genoa, Blake Baughman and Ryne Donley scored once apiece, while Blake Avers and Auden Hemminger produced the assists. Jack Avers made seven saves in goal. He added five saves in the loss to Liberty Center.
The Wildcats (1-5) are slated to face Sandusky this week.
The Genoa boys soccer team went 1-2 last week, falling to Delta and Oak Harbor while toppling Woodmore 12-2.
In the 7-4 loss to Delta, Genoa got a pair of goals from Max Huss and one apiece from Josh Caughorn and Gavin Goodman. Cruz Diaz, Julian Reynolds-Diaz, and Goodman had the three assists, while Joey Caughorn had seven saves. Jayden Kutchenriter, Noah Fennewald, and Huss each scored once in a 6-3 loss to Oak Harbor, while Huss and Goodman had one assist apiece. Joey Caughorn had three saves. Genoa responded from those two losses with a trio of hat tricks from Josh Caughorn (4), Kutchenriter, and Goodman in the victory over Woodmore. Tabor Zeller and Huss added one apice, while Kutchenriter (4), Huss (2), Zach Ovall (2), Ethan Sizemore (1), Michael Smith (1), and Josh Caughorn (1) had the assists. Joey Caughorn didn’t record a save.
The Comets (3-8, 0-5 NBC) will face Rossford and Evergreen this week.
The Oak Harbor boys soccer team went 1-0-1 last week with a 6-3 victory over Genoa followed by a scoreless tie against Emmanuel Christian. Oak Harbor received a four-goal performance from Zavier Hess in the win over Genoa, while Aidan Boss added two. No assists or other statistics were submitted for that match or the Emmanuel Christian outing.
The Rockets (7-4-1, 3-1 NBC) are slated to face Lake this week.
The Lake boys soccer team went 1-0-1 last week with a 5-0 win over Otsego followed by a 2-2 tie against Evergreen. Stats weren’t submitted for either match. The Flyers (7-3-1, 3-1 NBC) are slated to face Oak Harbor and Delta this week.
