Acaylia Taylor, a senior at Northwood High School, has been tabbed as the first recipient of the Northwood Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) Community Impact Scholarship.

“Acaylia exemplifies consistent involvement, leadership, and community service,” Dave Gallaher, Northwood’s CIC president, said. “Throughout high school, she participated in athletics including golf, track, and cheerleading. She has demonstrated strong leadership through four years of student council and class leadership, serving as treasurer for both, as well as treasurer of Spanish Club and an active member of Key Club.”

Taylor’s commitment to service includes volunteering at Northwood sporting events, supporting the Bavarian Sports Club during the German American Festival, and assisting with blood drives through the American Red Cross.

In addition, Taylor has maintained steady employment across multiple local businesses, reflecting a strong work ethic.

“Acaylia represents the spirit of community impact this scholarship was created to recognize,” Gallaher said.
