The Wood County Planning Commission is scheduled to meet June 4 at 5:30 p.m. at the county office building in Bowling Green.
The meeting agenda includes a request by the Troy Township trustees to amend the township zoning resolution.
The amendment adds a definition for modular homes and designates all manufactured and mobile homes be located in an R-3 district.
Proposed changes to the non-conforming use section of the township zoning resolution have also been submitted for consideration by the planning commission.
An analysis by the commission staff says the township has stated it wants to locate mobile and manufactured homes in mobile home parks so they can be regulated by the State of Ohio.
The planning commission staff is recommending the township confer with an attorney before removing language in the section about non-conforming uses.
“The changes to Article 11 are also designed to address mobile and manufactured homes, specifically the alteration and replacement of mobile and manufactured homes that currently exist as legal non-conforming uses,” the agenda says. “It is the opinion of the (planning commission) director that the township confer with legal counsel (if they haven’t yet) to make sure removing the non-conforming language can be done.”
The staff is recommending approval if the changes are approved by legal counsel.
The planning commission will also address zoning issues in Middleton and Perrysburg townships during the meeting
