Timothy K. Dougherty

Timothy K. Dougherty, 64, of Woodville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, on December 1, 1958, the son of Cornelius and Beatrice (Rzeszewicz) Dougherty and moved to Woodville in 1971, graduating from Woodmore High School in 1976. 

Tim, for the last 10 years, worked for FedEx Ground, in Northwood, Ohio. He had also worked for the former Modine Manufacturing Company of Pemberville, Ohio. Tim was an accomplished chef and enjoyed cooking. After he attended culinary school, he became a chef for the Hollywood Casino in Rossford. He later used his skills to prepare amazing dishes that he shared with family, friends and co-workers. Tim had also volunteered at the Northwest Ohio Food Bank in Toledo.

Tim was a big sports fan and being from New York his favorite teams were the Mets and the Jets, along with Notre Dame. He loved to play golf and had belonged to a local league for a time. He enjoyed the challenge of playing on many different courses. 

Tim loved his family above all things and would always keep in touch. He called his mother two times a day to make sure that she was OK and see if she needed anything. He is survived by  his mother, Beatrice Dougherty and his sister, Diana Dougherty, and preceded in death by his father Cornelius Dougherty.
