Program assists eligible seniors with cost of personal care services

The Ottawa County Home Care Assistance Program is available to Ottawa County residents 60 years and older who live in a home setting.
        To qualify, seniors must have a need for personal care assistance in order to live independently. The Ottawa County Home Care Assistance program is funded by the Ottawa County Senior Levy and United Way.
        Eligible seniors may receive up to $300 a month in assistance for personal care.
        Ottawa County Senior Resources contracts with several home care agencies to provide personal care services that may include personal hygiene and grooming assistance or supervision; nail and skin care; oral hygiene care; assistance with toileting; active and passive range of motion and/or assisting client in the use of assistive devices such as walker or cane.
