Italian Bowl viewing
Area residents are invited to watch the Italian Bowl 2024 live from Ravenna, Italy Saturday, June 29, at 3 p.m. at Promenade Park, 400 Water St., Toledo.
The game, which will be aired on BCSN City Cam, will be a rematch of the 2023 Italian Bowl USA teams, Panthers Parma and Guelfi Firenze (Florence).
Attendees are invited to bring chairs, blankets and coolers and enjoy an afternoon of International League Football, the Italian Super Bowl. Admission is free.

Street Hockey in the Swamp
Black Swamp Ice Frogs will present Street Hockey in the Swamp, Sunday, July 28, from noon-4 p.m. at Bowling Green City Park In-line Rink, 520 Conneaut Ave.
Games will run from 1-3 p.m. Street shoes only; no skates or rollerblades. Bring a helmet if you have one. Sticks will be provided; helmets available as needed.
Everyone is welcome to take part in the no-pressure, no-scorekeeping event where the emphasis will be on having a good time, enjoying the game and building friendships. RSVP is appreciated but not required. Email blackswampicefrogs@gmail.com.

An Evening with Jim Tressel
The Genacross Lutheran Services Foundation will present a unique opportunity to engage with Jim Tressel, former head football coach of The Ohio State University at “An Evening with Jim Tressel,” Thursday, July 25, at 6 p.m. at The Pinnacle in Maumee.
At the night of inspiration and philanthropy, Tressel will delve into the leadership strategies that led the Buckeyes to the 2002 National Championship. A highlight of the event will be a question-and-answer session, moderated by James Starks, anchor of 13abc Action News Good Morning.
In addition, Steven Brinkman, an alumnus of the Genacross Family & Youth Services group home program, will share his life-changing experiences under Genacross’ care. He will also discuss how Genacross has changed lives and continues to help youth from disadvantaged backgrounds break cycles of abuse and change their futures in drastic, positive ways.
Tickets for the evening are $150 each, which includes a plated dinner and the program. A cash bar will be available.
