Mud Hens’ Leppelmeier named Groundskeeper of the Year for IL and Triple-A

The Toledo Mud Hens’ Head Turf Manager Kyle Leppelmeier was named Head Groundskeeper of the Year for the International League and all of Triple-A by Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB™).
MiLB announced the award winners for each league and classification on Tuesday. Winners were selected using the results of surveys of league managers, players and executives throughout the 2023 season.
“We are extremely happy for Kyle and proud to have him as a member of our team,” said Erik Ibsen, Mud Hens executive vice president and general manager. “This well-deserved award is a testament of his expertise and the tremendous effort he puts in throughout the year to provide the best quality field for players, staff and fans.”
