The Clark family will be ringing in the holiday season by sharing songs, stories and their love of all things Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Monclova Community Church on the grounds of the Wolcott Heritage Society in Maumee.
Tickets are $15 each and are limited to 100 each show. A smaller number of tickets may be available for the Friday, Dec. 9, 7 p.m. dress rehearsal. Tickets can be purchased at KerryPatrickClark.com.
For the Clark family, music has always been soul food, providing a means of connecting, of developing community, of celebrating moments of love, hope, sorrow and joy. Kerry Patrick Clark has crafted a life out of making and playing music.
This former New Christy Minstrel member and #1 charting folk singer/songwriter met his wife of 26 years on the stage of the Waterville Playshop. In 2002, they welcomed their son Robbie, a recent graduate of the Toledo School for the Arts, who is back from his appearance on this year’s “American Idol.”
“The three of us are so excited and look forward to sharing the love of Christmas,” Kerry Patrick Clark said. “Join us with your best singing voice to belt out favorite Christmas carols and holiday songs of the ages.”
A portion of each ticket will go to support the Wolcott Heritage Society, which holds a special place for Amy and Kerry. Amy’s grandmother taught in the one-room schoolhouse. The Monclova Community Church came from a site not far from their first home in Monclova, and their new home in Maumee is just down the street from the Wolcott House.
