Charity gala for veterans set

A charity gala to support equine-assisted services for veterans is scheduled for Sept.6 at the Maumee Bay Lodge and Conference Center.
HOOVES, Healing Of Our Veterans Equine Services, is hosting the Sagebrush and Spurs Charity Gala which will be held from 6-11 p.m. at the lodge, 1750 State Park Rd. #2, Oregon.
“The Sagebush and Spurs Gala is more than just a night of fun – it’s an opportunity for our community to come together and make a tangible difference in the lives of those who have served our country and those in need,” said Amanda Held, founder and executive director of HOOVES. “We are excited to celebrate with our supporters and continue our mission of providing hope and healing through equine-assisted services.”
A gourmet dinner, country music, live auction, and stories from veterans and first responders who’ve been helped by the non-profit organization are planned.
Western attire is encouraged.
Proceeds from the gala will support HOOVES programs for veterans, first responders, and at-risk youth.
