Annual meeting, BBQ
and cruise-in planned
Ottawa Soil & Water Conservation District will host a Fabulous Fifties Conservation Cruise-In in conjunction with its 68th Annual Meeting and Banquet Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds, 7870 W. SR 163, Oak Harbor.
This will be a drive-thru style event, and attendees are encouraged to drive their classic or sporty cars.
A chicken BBQ will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10, which includes a BBQ chicken dinner, baked potato, roll, green beans and a cookie.
Attendees will also be able to cast their ballot for the election of two supervisors as they drive-thru. A “Cooperator of the Year” distinction will also be awarded to an individual/business/agency that has shown outstanding support to conservation efforts, either past or present.
