Ottawa County Senior Resources announced the 2022 Senior Hall of Fame Awards at a ceremony held Oct. 20 at CMP Air Rifle Range at Camp Perry, in Port Clinton.
Although it has been two years since Senior Resources was able to honor Hall of Fame inductees, the new format for the evening program offered inductees and their families and friends the opportunity to experience these important moments with their loved ones.
The 2022 Senior Hall of Fame inductees include:
        • Wilma Smith and Kevin Gladden, nominated by the Genoa Senior Center.
        • Irma Dorski, nominated by the Ottawa County Department of Job & Family Services.
        • Weata Hoop, David Morgan and Dianne Rozak, nominated by the Danbury Senior Center.
        • Essie Cole, nominated by the Port Clinton Senior Center.
        • Richard Gump, nominated by the Put-in-Bay Senior Center.
In addition, Roger Thompson, of Port Clinton, and Sandy Mohrman, of Graytown, were nominated by Ottawa County Senior Resources for their assistance with the Home Delivered Meal Program.
This year, Senior Resources introduced a new award to recognize individuals who continue to go above and beyond to support the programs at Senior Resources. This year’s recipient of the first-ever “Friends of Ottawa County Senior Resources” Award, went to Arlene and Milton Wilburn for their continued passion, generosity and enthusiasm for senior programs.
Each recipient received a plaque commemorating their service to the seniors and citizens of Ottawa County.
