A $9.2 million improvement project on Church Street in Oak Harbor is nearing completion and has already resulted in reduced combined sewer overflows to the Portage River, decreased street flooding and reduced instances of water in basements, according to the village administration.

A ruling that granted summary judgment in favor of the Ottawa County Riverview Healthcare facility in a wrongful death lawsuit has been reversed by the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals.
The City of Northwood is seeking funding from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to help pay for proposed safety improvements on the Woodville Road corridor, from Norcross Drive southeastward to Williston Road (St. Rte. 579).
