An ordinance establishing the position of code enforcement officer in the Village of Walbridge may be approved Wednesday by village council.
Mayor Ed Kolanko said last week he expected council to approve the position at its meeting this week.

Mayor’s court in the Village of Walbridge is scheduled to start operating in January after village council on Dec. 18 approved reinstating the court and hiring magistrates to hear cases.
Mayor Ed Kolanko said the court may be operating as early as the third week in January.

Guy Parmigian, superintendent of the Benton-Carroll-Salem School District, has accepted a faculty position at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan.
He plans to start in August, 2020, following eight years at his current position with B-C-S.
