June 5 2010 is a date that Sue LaVoy will never forget. That’s when a tornado leveled her home on Neill Avenue in Moline, located next to a field across from the Main Street Church. She and then husband Wayne walked away with just the clothes on their backs.

Seven municipalities in Wood County have applied for Community Development Block Grant funding in the latest program year.
Dave Steiner, director of the Wood County Planning Commission, said a meeting of the commission is scheduled for June 2 at 5:30 p.m. to review the applications.

Ottawa County Common Pleas Court Judge Bruce Winters has recused himself from an assault case involving Matt Damschroder, the former mayor of Elmore.
In a court filing, the judge writes he has requested the Ohio Supreme Court appoint a visiting judge to hear the case.
