The Wood County commissioners have opted to pay a $1.5 million fee to end a ransomware attack on the county’s computer system.
The commissioners announced Monday afternoon the county “is in the process of securely restoring systems.”

Ottawa County property owners will see a little relief on their tax bill.
The county commissioners have approved a resolution requesting that the county budget commission temporarily reduce the county’s portion of property taxes from 2 mills to 1.5 mills.
