Efficiency Smart, in conjunction with its participating municipal electric systems, will host a contractor and vendor seminar Tuesday, April 17, 11:30 a.m. to 1p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Pemberville.

Efficiency Smart works with contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, designers and installers to complete energy-efficient upgrades.

Bank funds financial literacy program for Lake and Eastwood

The State Bank and Trust has announced a new initiative to bring financial literacy education to Lake and Eastwood high school students by providing them with access to the EverFi Financial Literacy Platform, according to a company release.

Five firms get top honors
The Toledo Lucas County Health Department has named five local food-serving establishments among the 50 Top-Rated Food Establishments in Lucas County as far as compliance with food safety regulations, kitchen cleanliness and “a continued and conscientious effort to maintain a clean and safe operation.”

GenoaBank donates $10,000 to fund trips to science museum
GenoaBank has announced its sponsorship of the Adopt-A-School Program at Imagination Station.

Imagination Station launched its Adopt-a-School Program in an effort to assist local schools at a time when science and math education are more important than ever before--as schools are being forced to tighten budgets and cancel field trips.
