GenoaBank announced to its shareholders at the recent annual meeting that net income improved and ended the year 2011 at $1.415 million.
 
According to a company news release, deposits have grown by $21 million in the past five years. Assets totaled approximately $250.6 million at year end 2011.  Capital, or shareholder equity, has continued to increase, growing to over $21.9 million at year end 2011; a growth of 33 percent since 2006. 
 
Martin Sutter, GenoaBank president, also reported financial highlights from the first quarter of 2012. Net income totaled more than $397,000, or a 6.6 percent increase from last year at this same time. Total assets ended the first quarter of 2012 at $258 million; an increase of 1.5 percent.
 
Shareholders received a quarterly dividend of 14 cents per share.

Genoa auto dealerships sold, staff will remain in place
The Baumann Auto Group has purchased Genoa Motors and Genoa Chevrolet.

Baumann will add the Ford line to its existing new vehicle lines Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Buick, Chrysler, Jeep Dodge and Hyundai. These lines are sold at various Baumann dealerships located in Fremont, Port Clinton, Tiffin and Norwalk.

Contest can help you take homemade recipe to retail reality
It is not very often when one gets a unique chance to take an idea and make it a reality. However, that opportunity is here with the start of the 5th Annual Food Product Development Contest, according to the Center for Innovative Food Technology, which is sponsoring the contest which showcases local food products ready for actual product development.

Warren, an East Toledo resident, has 19 years experience in the janitorial field. Her business employs two and is licensed, bonded and insured.
 
She services clients throughout Northwest Ohio including Genoa, Oregon, East Toledo and Northwood. She offers routine cleaning as well as one-time cleaning for special occasions.

Efficiency Smart, in conjunction with its participating municipal electric systems, will host a contractor and vendor seminar Tuesday, April 17, 11:30 a.m. to 1p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Pemberville.
