Chamber sets date for annual State of Communities Address
The Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual State of The Communities Address Thursday, Jan. 26 at 7:30 a.m. at the Lutheran Home at Toledo, 131 N. Wheeling in Toledo.
Representatives from Oregon, East Toledo, Northwood, Walbridge and Jerusalem Township will speak about progress in their communities in 2011 and plans for 2012.

Experience Works and Walmart have announced the launch of a new job training program in Lucas County. The Walmart Putting Experience to Work Program, funded by the Walmart Foundation, will help unemployed or underemployed people age 50 and over living in the greater Toledo area compete for available jobs.
Established in 1965, Experience Works is a national, charitable, community-based organization focused on improving the lives of older people through training, community service and employment. Experience Works is supported by individual donations, foundations and grants.
