The Gold Buyer Network has opened its newest location at 3521 Navarre in Oregon.

The company specializes in buying used jewelry, gems and precious metals including gold, silver and platinum, said Brian Birchmeier, general manager of the company with 22 locations primarily in the Midwest.

Birchmeier said typical customers are those who have fallen on hard times or those who prefer to recycle such items as broken chains and jewelry that is no longer in style. Birchmeier says all items are melted down.

The local manager is Sheryl Marksch. There are two other employees. Hours are Monday thru Friday 10-6 and Saturday 10-4. The phone is 419-690-0606.
