The Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce has a new website, new president and new media director and editor of the chamber’s newsletter.
The new website will keep members informed of chamber activities and allow for various forms to be submitted electronically. It will also allow for the electronic payment of dues.

Tim Davies is the new president. He is the pastor at Christ Community Church in Genoa. Chris Sheldon is the new media director and editor of the chamber’s newsletter. She has been a firefighter/EMT for 25 years and the fiscal officer/clerk for Clay Township for the past 18 years.
Ann Mann, office manager at Mann Technologies, is the newest board member.
The chamber will also hold two events in the next two weeks. The annual street fair and car show will take place Saturday, September 18.
A business after hours will be held at Latte’Da Thursday, September 23 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Crown Mats and Matting, a 65-year-old matting manufacturer of Fremont, has donated mats for the temporary home of Lake High School, which is located in the former Owens Community College Workforce Development Center on Tracy Road in Northwood.

The Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce will hold its Charity Derby Horse Race this Wednesday. The race will be the featured event at the annual steak roast.
The Derby Horse Race is open to any business, non-profit organization, family or individual. Each entrant must choose a charity to represent. The first place winner’s charity will receive 25 percent of the auction’s proceeds, second place receives 15 percent and third receives 10 percent, according to Sarah Beavers, chamber director.
